The Data Collaborative, working together with Intuit, were looking for a logo for their new event planning and registration software, Event Genie.

Event Genie allows people to organize an entire event from their computer. From invites to secure ticketing, Event Genie allows the user to become a professional event coordinator.

I wanted to create something iconic, that could exist alone on a desktop, and be able to pop and be distinguishable from other program icons. A star seemed fitting to represent the energy and spontaneity of any event. The program itself uses the same greyish blue, and the typeface credit goes to our favorite German, Eric Spiekermann.
